Rihanna May Be the First Black Woman to Front Christian Dior

Rihanna will reportedly replace Charlize Theron as the face of J'Adore by Christian Dior, making her first black woman to ever front for the brand, according to the Daily Star.

News of the switch should be taken with a substantial grain of salt: It was cobbled together after the producer of a yet-to-air Dior commercial tagged Rihanna in a behind-the-scenes video posted online (and since removed). Images of Rihanna supposedly shooting the campaign are also seen on the Daily Star.

In the photos, Rihanna looks stunning as ever in a silver sequined midi dress, even if the dress's high neckline and long sleeves do seem a bit conservative for the undisputed queen of the nipple-bearing naked dress. Then again, if anyone can find a way to make covered-up look hot, it's Rihanna. She could make a birthday clown costume sexy.

Confession: our first thought was that Eva Mendes looks like our grandma's old lampshade in this funky black dress.

Then we looked again and decided it has more of a spider web feel. And finally, after a few more minutes of examining, we landed on something between a car wash and those beaded curtains from the '70s. But, long story short, we couldn't stop staring at The Place Beyond the Pines star!

The stringy halter neckline is gorgeous against the Eva's fit frame and the column cut hugs the rest of her in all the right places. Yes, the fringe may be a bit over the top in theory, but it's actually subtle on account of the all-black palette. Plus, simple black pumps and side-swept hair keep it classic outside of that bit of crazy.
